Recent capital project successes:
Horam Recreation Ground, East Sussex

£186,000 raised in external funding for a ‘Get Active Pathway’, opened in October 2023. Huge support from Horam Village Hall and Recreation Group Charity, Horam Parish Council, Veolia Environmental Trust and Biffa Award.
Western Road Recreation Ground, East Sussex
‘Hailsham Active CIC and Step Up Sports Consultancy worked with Hailsham Town Council to advise on, and raise external funding for, pathway lighting for our Recreation Ground. I felt the work was thorough, smoothly executed and brought in the required funding, and we would definitely work with Hailsham Active and Step Up Sports Consultancy again on projects in the future’. £58,333 raised from external funders to light the recently installed pathway giving all year round access to local people. Completed 2022. Huge support and additional funding from Hailsham Town Council, and Veolia Environmental Trust.
Battle Recreation Ground, East Sussex
£176,970 raised from external funders towards a Health Pathway and a Pumptrack, leading to a huge increase in local users of the ground. Huge support and funding from Battle Town Council, the Battle Local Action Plan Group, Sport England and British Cycling. Opened in 2020.
Ladywell Arena, Lewisham, London
£15,237 raised from external funders for a Football seated stand. Huge support and financial support from London Borough of Lewisham and the Football Stadia Investment Fund. Completed 2016.

* £7041 for Muay Thai Boxing and junior boxing.
* £2720 for Special Educational Needs circus skills sessions
* £2293 for football goals
* £1320 for peri-natal exercise sessions for women
* £1700 for Digital Weight Management Programme
* £7520 for Community fitness programme
* £5000 for Parish outdoor improvements
* £216,460 for assisting partners to fund a hockey pitch refurbishment
Community Consultation
We have successfully undertaken a number of online surveys in local areas asking the community about potential projects. Using an anonymous online survey, we can find out what people think about plans, and get their feedback and suggestions. This process is a must for external funding bids, and our questions are specifically geared towards funding requirements. A final report is written after analysing the data.
